Our client, an esteemed organisation in the water sector, is currently seeking a highly skilled Design Manager to join their team on a contract basis in Manchester and Warrington, North West. This role involves managing both non-infrastructure and some infrastructure projects, with a hybrid work model available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the design processes for water sector projects
- Managing design teams and ensuring deliverables meet quality standards
- Coordinating with project managers and stakeholders to align design objectives
- Reviewing and approving design documentation and specifications
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards
- Managing design changes and updates throughout the project lifecycle
- Providing technical guidance and expertise to design teams
- Ensuring project timelines are adhered to and budget constraints are maintained
Job Requirements:
- Significant experience in civil design management within the water sector
- Proven track record of managing design for both non-infrastructure and infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of relevant industry standards and regulations
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Proficiency in design software and tools
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment
- Relevant civil engineering degree or equivalent qualification
