Billing Cashier / Bookkeeper

Wythenshawe, Manchester

£29,000 - 31,000 per annum (Full and Part Time available / Flexible Starts)The RoleA busy role undertaking the provision of client billing and cashiering services. The service provided must be of a consistent standard and will involve liaising with people at all levels across the firm. (Legal and non-legal billings duties)Key Responsibilities

  • Recording day-to-day financial transactions.
  • Managing client accounts, including receiving, disbursing, and reconciling client money.
  • Daily processing of invoices
  • Preparing financial statements.
  • Processing accounts payable and receivable.
  • Reconciling bank accounts.
  • Process all payment of funds from both client and office accounts.
  • Client bank reconciliations to the agreed timetable.
  • Process appropriate ledger entries for all client and office funds receipted direct into the firm bank accounts.
  • Monitor and action all transfers between client and office account in accordance with internal policies.
  • General bookkeeping and financial record-keeping for businesses across various sectors.

Provide a professional, friendly and efficient service to all clients (internal & external) by actioning their enquiries promptly whilst ensuring that appropriate service standards are maintained.Promote, maintain and proactively develop strong relationships with internal and external clients to ensure high levels of focus and service delivery.

Knowledge required for the Billing Cashier role:

Invoicing, bookkeeping, billing, cashier duties

Use of relevant accounting software

High level of reconciliations experience

General ledger (purchase and sales ledger experience)

Legal Cashier skills are desirable though not essential

Knowledge of solicitors accounting practices is preferred though not essential.

A car owner is essential to travel between two offices.
