Forge Talent have partnered with one of the North Wests leading planning and Development businesses as they look to grow their Accounts Payable function.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and positive Purchase Ledger Clerk who has worked in an end-to-end capacity to join a highly successful organisation. With a huge focus on sustainability and ethical ways of working you will be joining a business committed to providing an excellent service.

You will be supporting a growing team to oversee a varied workflow including processing, supplier relationship management and query resolution, expenses processing and payments.

Previous experience gained within the property sector, with exposure to and an understanding of CIS processes is highly advantageous.

Purchase Ledger Clerk Responsibilities:

  • Accurately log and release a high volume of purchase invoices
  • Reconcile supplier statements, requesting copy invoices as required.
  • Understand and investigate supplier queries- liaising with site managers, accountants and the wider Accounts Payable and Finance Team to reach prompt resolutions.
  • Assist with processing weekly, monthly and same day payment runs
  • Assist with supplier account set ups and verifying bank details
  • Processing employee expenses claims and credit card charges
  • Processing CIS invoices, and accounting for CIS Vat deductions
  • Liaising with subcontractors to resolve CIS queries.
  • General accounting support as required

Purchase Ledger Clerk Required Experience:

  • Previous experience in an end-to-end Purchase Ledger position.
  • Excellent problem solving and query resolution abilities.
  • Strong computerised systems and Excel skills, with the ability to adapt to new technology and ways of working.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to effectively prioritise tasks.
  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • A motivated and self-starter approach to tasks and duties, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • CIS/ Property Sector experience is HIGHLY ADVANTAGEOUS
  • Confident written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain trusting working relationships.
  • This is an office-based role and so applicants must be able to commit to work from the office, 35 hours per week.
