Business Advisor - Workforce Development - Finance & Professional Sectors

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Business Advisor specialising in Workforce Development within the Finance & Professional sectors. This role offers a significant opportunity to influence business growth and employment practices across Greater Manchester.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with business owners/leaders and key contacts.
  • Promote the work of the Workforce Development team and facilitate high-quality referrals.
  • Partner with the sector development lead to enhance the sector development plan.
  • Identify and support businesses in addressing workforce development challenges.
  • Focus on inclusivity by aiding businesses to employ locally based staff.
  • Collaborate with diverse training providers to offer tailored training solutions.
  • Handle client enquiries, assess growth potential, workforce, and business needs.
  • Ensure accurate recording and timely administration of client enquiries and referrals.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Degree/CIPD level qualifications or relevant business experience in the Finance and Professional sectors.
  • Expertise in facilitating, coaching, and organisational change management.
  • In-depth understanding of the workforce development arena.
  • Demonstrable experience in completing organisational and training needs assessments.
  • Proven track record in managing workforce issues during periods of growth.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and networking skills.
  • Strong planning, organisational, administrative, and project management skills.
  • Well-developed IT skills, including CRM databases.
  • Knowledge of HR practices, policies, and processes relevant to the sector.
  • Understanding of training provision within the Greater Manchester region.
  • Technical knowledge in creating and delivering workforce development plans.
  • Customer-focused approach to working with businesses.
