Class 1 Container Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking reliable and Experienced Class 1 Container drivers to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to manage various driving tasks, including container operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate lorries in a safe and responsible manner, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order before embarking on deliveries.
• Load and unload goods, securing loads appropriately for safe transport, particularly for container deliveries.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or delays.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
• Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety and operational standards.

Requirements

• Valid commercial driving licence with appropriate endorsements for Class 1 operation.
• Proven experience as a container driver or in a similar role is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for driving.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to plan routes efficiently.
• Good communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
