Class 2 Driver

Logical Personnel Solutions are acting as an employment business on behalf of our client based in Manchester. Our client is delivering contracts across the UK and Ireland for service providers in the telecommunications industry. Their services include mobile mast upgrades, migration work, upgrading power systems, UPS systems, switches, and cable management. Currently they are looking for Class 2 driver on Term to Perm with Nights Out.

The Job:

• TERM TO PERM
• Monday to Friday
• Start time: 08:00am
• Length of shift: 10-12 hours per day
• At least 3 nights out per week
• Few drops per day across all UK
• Ongoing Training & Support
• HANDBALL involved so candidate must be fit

Requirements:

• HGV Class 2 Licence (held for at 6 months)
• Knowledge about how to use Tacho Card
• Valid CPC Certification
• Excellent Communication Skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately

Job Responsibilities:

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your role is crucial to the safe and efficient transport of goods. Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Loading and unloading goods securely
• Adhering to traffic laws and company policies
• Maintaining accurate records of deliveries and driving hours
• Effective communication with dispatchers and clients
• Representing the client professionally at all times

Pay:

• 14.50 per hour PAYE
• 16.25 per hour (including holidays)
• 18 per hour on LTD
• 18 per hour by UMBRELLA
• Night Out 25 per night for sleeping in the truck or paying expenses for sleeping in the hotel
