An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver / Team Leader to join an established removals company in Manchester, delivering packing, removals, and storage services.
In this leadership role, you will handle customers’ goods with care, set the standard for service on-site, and lead crews to deliver a first-class customer experience. You will direct team members, conduct quality audits, ensure procedural and regulatory compliance, and support staff training and development.
We are keen to speak with self-motivated removals professionals who combine strong people leadership with outstanding customer service. Core hours are 8:00am to 5:30pm, with a 1.5-hour lunch break.
Salary & benefits
• £35,360 per annum.

What you will do
• Safely load and unload vehicles and storage containers.
• Lead on-site teams to deliver a superior customer experience (including VIP and high-value corporate / office moves).
• Carry out quality checks and warehouse activity audits; maintain schedules and service levels.
• Ensure company standards on discipline, workmanship, safety, and incident reporting are met.
• Complete vehicle defect checks and maintain tachograph and compliance standards.
• Coach, train, and develop operational staff, including safe dismantling and rebuild of furniture.
• Identify issues early and drive practical solutions.
• Implement Health & Safety procedures and conduct risk assessments.
What you’ll need
• Valid LGV Category C licence (C+E welcomed).
• Driver CPC and strong knowledge of tachograph and drivers’ hours rules.
• Proven removals industry experience (essential), with crew leadership exposure.
• High standards of customer care, safety, and teamwork.
