We are looking for experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers to join us for our clients' requirements - Part time work available.

Monday – Friday work with the option to work weekends
HGV class 2 driver experience essential
Temp to Perm Opportunities’ available for the right candidate
Earn a minimum of £646 per week (inclusive of holiday pay) for full time Monday to Friday hours

Driver Hire, the UK’s largest specialist transport and logistics recruitment company are looking to recruit additional HGV Class 2 Drivers in 2024 to work on various contracts throughout Manchester, Tameside, Salford and Trafford Park.

Our HGV Class 2 Drivers are offered true flexibility to pick and choose your working days from various available contracts. Work can include simple trunking work to multidrop and you could be delivering timber, catering goods, moving vehicles or simple depot to depot deliveries.

Whether you are a HGV Class 2 driver that wants to work one day, all week, or various days to suit your home/work life balance, we want to hear from you. We would particularly like to hear from you if you have towing or winching experience, as we have a client that can offer highly sought after work for such a candidate.

HGV Class 2 Driver will need:

Cat-C Licence
Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
No more than 6 points (No DD's, DR's, IN's, TT's)
Experience with ratchet straps
Experience in a fast-paced multi-drop environment
Excellent customer service skills and good literacy
Full UK Driving licence, Class 2 entitlement held for 1 year
Able to work to tight deadlines

HGV Class 2 Driver Duties will include:

Driving company vehicle responsibly and safely, obeying all traffic laws
Carrying out required daily vehicle checks to ensure procedural compliance
Maintaining regular contact with Branch Managers on daily progress
Completing paperwork accurately as instructed
Dealing with customers face to face in a polite and courteous manner

We offer a true, honest, and personal service and you will deal directly with the business owner. Plus, attractive minimum rate of pay of £14.40 per hour 9that's £16.15 per hour when inclusive of holiday pay) PLUS, regular overtime, paid weekly via PAYE.
