About the Role
Were currently recruiting for aSous Chefto join our kitchen team at DoubleTree by Hilton Manchester Airport.
Are you an ambitious Sous Chef with experience in a similar-sized hotel or restaurant? Are you looking for a fun, stimulating, and engaging environment where you can thrive?
As Sous Chef, youll work closely with the Head Chef to lead and inspire the kitchen team, ensuring our guests enjoy memorable dining experiences. This is a fast-paced role that requires strong leadership, creativity, and a passion for high standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and team leadership
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety
- Monitor and manage departmental targets including sales, gross profit, stock, and labour costs
- Ensure compliance with purchasing procedures and food safety regulations
- Assist with menu development, costing, and specifications
- Conduct food stock-takes and maintain accurate records
- Participate in hiring, training, and developing kitchen staff
- Ensure efficient rota planning and payroll management
- Drive continuous improvement in kitchen standards and guest satisfaction
What Were Looking For
- Minimum 4 years of kitchen management experience
- Level 3 Food Safety certification (required)
- Right to work in the UK (documentation required)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
Working Hours & Flexibility
This role requires flexibility, including early and late shifts. Additional hours may be required during busy periods. Were looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is adaptable to the needs of our guests and operations.
