My client are seeking an experienced and motivated Associate Director to join their thriving Manchester office. As an Associate Director, you will play a pivotal role in leading the planning team, managing high-profile projects, and driving business growth. You will work closely with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to deliver strategic planning advice and innovative solutions that align with their clients' objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of planning consultants, providing mentorship and support to foster professional development.
  • Oversee a portfolio of complex planning projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
  • Provide strategic planning advice and guidance on a variety of projects, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
  • Conduct detailed site appraisals, feasibility studies, and impact assessments.
  • Prepare and present planning applications, appeals, and development proposals.
  • Contribute to business development activities, including identifying new opportunities and preparing proposals.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in Town Planning, Urban Planning, or a related field.
  • Chartered Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI).
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in a planning consultancy or a related environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex planning projects.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Your own client base that you can bring onto the team.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK planning legislation and policy.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.
