Your new companyA leading business in the development and manufacturing of technological optical solutions. This role will cover the North of England and Scotland, but is a fully remote role. Your new roleThe Regional Sales Manager will manage direct and distributor sales in the Northern regions to develop new sales and build on an existing and loyal customer base. Your duties will include:

  • Successful sales growth of products in defined areas of the UK and Ireland, both through direct customer sales and established distribution channels
  • The full lifecycle of direct end-user sales, from enquiry to payment, maximising sustainable and profitable customer accounts
  • Technical demonstrations and training of products to customers and distributors
  • Recruitment of new distributors, to reinforce the existing distribution network
  • Technical and commercial support to distributors
  • Ensuring UK senior management are updated with relevant and current market feedback, sales performance and forecasts
  • Interfacing with Marketing and Product Management departments to collaboratively develop sales and marketing campaigns to improve sales performance, sustainably and profitably.

What you'll need to succeed The ideal candidate will be a technically competent, proven sales professional with experience of technical sales in one or more of the electronics, precision engineering, automotive, aerospace and/or medical device manufacturing markets. A successful background in the sales of instrumentation, measuring systems and/or associated capitalEquipment in a range of manufacturing markets is important and experience of microscopy sales would be advantageous.What you'll get in returnThis is a full-time, permanent position offering a complete package (salary, car + bonus) of c. £90k per annum plus an array of other benefits.
