Escape Recruitment is working with a long-established international engineering business that designs and supplies specialist industrial process machinery used across a wide range of industrial sectors.

We're looking for a Field Sales Engineer to cover the UK and Ireland, supporting existing customers while developing new opportunities. The role combines technical knowledge with commercial expertise and offers full autonomy to manage your own region.

The Role

Reporting to the EMEA Sales Manager, you'll act as the key link between customers and the company's internal technical teams. You'll identify customer needs, provide tailored solutions, and manage the entire sales process from initial contact through to order completion.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with customers and partners.
  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities within your region.
  • Preparing quotations, proposals, and tender responses in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Managing customer visits, technical discussions, and contract negotiations.
  • Working closely with internal engineering and commercial colleagues across Europe.
  • Providing regular sales reporting and market insight to management.

About You

We're looking for a proactive, technically minded sales professional who enjoys developing customer relationships and solving problems.

You'll bring:

  • Proven experience in technical or field sales within an industrial or engineered product environment.
  • A background in engineering or technical sales (Engineering Degree Qualified).
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and communicate complex systems.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
  • A self-managed, results-driven approach with strong organisational skills.
  • A full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel (approx. 20-30%).
