We are currently working in partnership with a leading HVAC contractor, based in the Manchester area.
They have a very strong reputation for project delivery, with a particularly strong track record within defence, rail, energy and power sectors.
Due to large scale project wins and a very strong pipeline of work ahead, they have a requirement for a Mechanically biased Project Manager, this position will be based out of their Manchester/North West office with some travel to site and also WFH.
Mechanical Role Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for managing and delivering large scale projects from initial tender/pre con stage through to project completion.
- Oversee and manage multi-disciplined teams with an emphasis on Mechanical, you will need a background in HVAC or MEP to be considered for this position.
- Provide clear concise leadership in a client facing position, you will be the key point of contact on the project.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the business and project teams.
- Work with the site H&S Manager, ensuring compliance with regulations and encouraging a zero accident culture.
- Manage and oversee all quality related procedures on site.
- Understand and protect the companies position during project negotiations, delivery and post contract.
- Build and develop strong relationships with clients and key stake-holders.
- Work with the commercial team to provide accurate information for payments, variations and final accounts.
Mechanical Project Manager Role Requirements:
- A solid background within the HVAC/MEP space is essential.
- Comfortable managing project teams in a client facing position.
- Capable of working to tight programme deadlines.
- Experience running teams including engineering, site, managing sub contractors.
- Contractually aware, with a good understanding of contractual obligations (ideally NEC but not essential).
- Aware of and capable of reinforcing H&S on site.
- Hard working, well presented and keen to progress your career.
- A Full UK driving licence and UK working rights.
