This is an excellent opportunity for a Principal Civil Engineer to join an environmentally focused multi disciplinary consultancy in Manchester as they strengthen and grow their civil engineering capability. As a Principal Civil Engineer, you will take technical ownership of drainage design, flood risk assessments, SuDS strategies and civil engineering inputs across a mix of development and regeneration projects. You will lead project delivery, manage quality and mentor junior engineers while working closely with environmental, planning and water specialists across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Lead drainage design, SuDS strategies and Flood Risk Assessments for a variety of development projects.
Manage project delivery, quality, budgets and client relationships.
Oversee the preparation of technical reports, calculations and detailed design outputs.
Guide and mentor junior engineers, supporting their technical and professional growth.
Coordinate with multi disciplinary teams and support collaborative design development.
Contribute to the expansion of the civil engineering capability within the Manchester office.
About You
Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
Significant experience in drainage design, SuDS and flood risk assessments.
Skilled with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and MicroDrainage or similar tools.
Strong communication skills and confidence in client facing environments.
Chartered or working towards chartership.
