Chartered Building Surveyor - Manchester
Leading Consultancy | Prestigious Client Base | Clear Career Progression

I'm working with a highly respected consultancy in Manchester who are continuing to grow their Building Surveying division following sustained project success. They're now looking to appoint a talented Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS) who's eager to take ownership of projects and client relationships while progressing toward senior leadership.
This is a brilliant role for someone who enjoys a mix of technical delivery and professional services work, and wants to be part of a business that truly invests in its people.

The Role
You'll be working on a broad range of commercial, healthcare and education projects, and your responsibilities will include:
* Leading and developing detailed client briefs alongside senior team members
* Building strong and trusted long-term client relationships
* Supporting business development activity as the team continues to grow
* Undertaking site surveys including measured surveys, condition surveys and defect analysis
* Producing specifications, designs and full tender documentation
* Administering JCT and NEC contracts
* Delivering core professional surveying services such as:
- Dilapidations, party wall matters, reinstatement cost assessments, insurance inspections and defect analysis
* Collaborating with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams
* Supporting junior colleagues through mentoring and workload coordination

About You
To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • RICS-accredited degree MRICS Chartered status
  • Experience across commercial, healthcare or education buildings
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit
  • Competence in NBS Chorus
  • Full UK driving licence

You'll be confident in client-facing situations, commercially aware, and capable of producing high-quality written work and reports.
