Our client, a leading consultancy in the water sector, is currently seeking experienced Civil Design Engineers to join their dynamic teams in Manchester. and Leeds
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and contribute to the design of water and wastewater treatment works, pumping stations, pipelines, and drainage systems
- Develop concept, outline, and detailed designs in accordance with client specifications and industry regulations
- Carry out hydraulic analysis, earthworks design, and structural assessments related to water projects
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including MEICA, process, and geotechnical engineers
- Ensure designs meet health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
- Assist in mentoring junior engineers and providing technical guidance
- Engage with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to align project requirements
Key Requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Chartered or working towards Chartership (ICE or IStructE) is desirable
- Experience in civil design for water infrastructure projects
- Experience in pipelines, drainage, earthworks, and reinforced concrete structures
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, and/or InfoWorks ICM
- Familiarity with UK water industry standards (Sewers for Adoption, DMRB, and Eurocodes)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects
