Fire Door Inspector

40,000/annum plus package

Our client, a well establish joinery and fit out contractor require experienced surveyors to carry out inspection of fire doors in buildings across the UK

The successful applicant will have a proven track record of providing first class surveying services and ideally with a background in fire compartmentation

It is desirable that you have experience of fire doors and BM-Trada standards but this is not essential and training will be provided.

Day to day duties will include

  1. Carry out formal door condition reports in line with the BM Trada certification scheme, which includes an intrusive / architrave survey and uploading into recording software
  2. Generate data, produce and format all reports for door surveys, including executive summary, for submission to the Technical Director, ahead of client quotation submission
  3. Carry out a production site measurement exercise for new doorsets and associated products such as side screens, fanlights and over panels, and upload into Boris.
  4. Attend tender / quotation handover meetings to operations team, where required, to gain full understanding of upcoming project specific requirements.

Our client are Manchester based but due to the nature of the work, you will be expected to work Nationwide. A vehicle will be supplied but you must be prepared to work from home for extended periods where required.
