Role Overview:

We're looking for 4 experienced Fire Spray Operatives to join our team for long-term work in Manchester.

This role involves the application of intumescent coatings and spray-applied fire protection systems on a variety of commercial projects. Operatives must have proven experience in fire spraying, a strong understanding of required thicknesses and specifications, and the ability to deliver a high-quality finish to meet fire protection standards.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience with SFRM and/or Intumescent coatings
  • Knowledge of Passive Fire Protection Systems
  • Blue CSCS Card

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Apply intumescent and fire-resistant coatings to structural steel and other building elements in line with specification requirements.
  • Prepare surfaces prior to application, including cleaning, masking, and priming as needed.
  • Mix and operate airless spray equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Measure and verify film thicknesses to ensure compliance with required fire ratings.
  • Maintain clean and organised work areas, tools, and equipment.
  • Follow site-specific health & safety procedures, including PPE and COSHH requirements.
  • Complete daily records of work completed, materials used, and areas covered.
  • Liaise with site supervisors and managers to ensure smooth workflow and quality standards are maintained.
  • Carry out minor touch-ups or re-sprays as required to achieve full compliance and finish quality.
