Internal Communications ManagerLocation: Birmingham, Leeds, London, ManchesterWe're looking for an experienced Internal Communications professional to join a dynamic Business Development & Marketing team. Reporting to the Head of Marketing Operations, you’ll play a central role in shaping and delivering the firm’s internal communications strategy, helping to ensure colleagues feel connected, informed, and engaged.
This is a standalone role with significant visibility and responsibility. You’ll partner with senior leadership and teams across the business to deliver key internal messaging, support change communication initiatives, and promote a consistent tone of voice across all internal channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Write high-quality, creative copy; edit and proofread content to ensure consistency and alignment with the firm's values and strategy.
- Coach and upskill internal stakeholders on internal communication best practices.
- Develop communication plans in collaboration with project teams and business units.
- Design and deliver creative, multi-channel campaigns to engage a diverse workforce.
- Plan content and support communication efforts for senior leadership events and updates.
- Lead internal messaging for large-scale business changes.
- Manage internal channels (written, video, audio, live events), track engagement metrics, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with HR on internal engagement, employer brand, and retention campaigns.
- Support communication initiatives from employee network groups and business services teams.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong collaboration skills and confidence engaging with senior stakeholders.
- Significant experience in a senior internal communications role.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing internal communication strategies.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading ability.
- A track record of delivering engaging, impactful communications across multiple channels.
- Experience working closely with senior leadership to deliver key internal messaging.
- Strong background in change management communications and measuring communication effectiveness.
- Experience acting as a brand champion and ensuring alignment to tone of voice and strategic goals.
