About the Role:
Our client, a reputable main contractor specialising in commercial and industrial fit-outs and refurbishments, is now focusing recruitment efforts on an Assistant Site Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for someone early in their construction management career who is ready to take the next step and grow with an established company.
You'll be supported by a Senior Site Manager with longstanding experience in the business, ensuring you gain hands-on mentorship and a clear development path.
Ideal Candidate:
Early career in construction management or looking to transition from a trade background (e.g., joinery).
Some experience in the construction industry (e.g., site-based work experience, apprenticeships, junior roles).
Ambitious and motivated to learn, with strong organisational and communication skills.
Keen to develop into a long-term leadership role within the company.
Project Details:
Fit-outs and refurbishments across commercial and industrial sectors.
Typical project values: £100K - £3M
Project durations: 5 weeks - 5 months
Typical Duties:
Support the Site Manager in overseeing daily site operations and construction activities.
Coordinate with subcontractors and ensure works are progressing to schedule.
Help maintain a safe site and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Assist with maintaining site documentation and reporting on progress.
Liaise with the client and subcontractors.
