My client is a market leader in delivering high-quality rail infrastructure solutions across the UK. With decades of experience, they specialise in safety-critical services including fencing, civil engineering, and trackside infrastructure. They seeking a proactive and experienced Site Manager to oversee the successful delivery of fencing projects on rail infrastructure sites. The successful candidate will ensure all works are carried out to the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency while maintaining full compliance with Network Rail and other relevant standards.

Candidate Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification.

  • Coordinate and supervise on-site teams and subcontractors.

  • Liaise with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders.

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality (SHEQ) standards.

  • Conduct site inductions, briefings, and toolbox talks.

  • Monitor site progress and provide regular reports to senior management.

  • Order and manage materials, plant, and equipment.

  • Maintain site records including risk assessments, method statements, and site diaries.

  • Support the development and training of site operatives.

Candidate Requirements
  • Proven experience managing fencing or civil engineering works, ideally within the rail sector.

  • In-depth understanding of railway safety and operational procedures.

  • CSCS card.
  • Valid PTS (Personal Track Safety) card.

  • SMSTS or SSSTS certification.

  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 6 or equivalent in Construction Site Management

  • First Aid at Work

  • Temporary Works Coordinator training
