Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical Bias)

Days Role - 07.00 - 15.00, 37.5 hour week

We're looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (approx. 70:30 Mechanical:Electrical) to join our highly skilled team in Trafford Park. This is a hands-on role where you'll be key to ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable running of plant, equipment and services.

Key Tasks:

  • Providing day-to-day maintenance support to operation ensuring high levels of equipment availability.
  • Responding promptly to breakdowns and ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Carrying out routine and preventative maintenance across a variety of equipment.
  • Supporting press tooling changes and improvements.
  • Working closely with contractors on both planned and reactive works.
  • Always prioritising health, safety, and compliance in everything you do.

Requirements:

  • A recognised Mechanical Engineering or Multi-Skilled apprenticeship
  • Solid engineering background in manufacturing with strong mechanical skills and some electrical capability.
  • Excellent fault-finding, problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
  • Experience with presses, furnaces, CNC machine tools, automated valves, pumps (advantageous but not essential).
  • A driven, flexible, and hands-on approach with good communication skills.
  • Ability to work with maintenance management systems and basic MS Office tools.
