We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Lecturer to deliver HNC Level 4 and BTEC Level 3 qualifications in Construction. This is a remote teaching position with small group sizes (approx. 14 learners), and sessions delivered via Microsoft Teams.

You will teach four days a week with one dedicated day for planning and preparation. Every six weeks, you will have a two-week teaching break for marking and giving learner feedback. Teaching hours begin at 9:00 AM for registration, followed by two 1.5-hour teaching slots in the morning (with breaks), and blended learning activities in the afternoon.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Delivering sessions across a variety of modules, including core principles of construction, surveying, civil engineering techniques, structural design, construction economics, and quantity surveying practices.

  • Supporting learners’ progress and maintaining high-quality delivery of course content through prepared curriculum and assignment briefs.

  • Monitoring and approving Off-the-Job learning hours to meet funding criteria.

  • Embedding literacy and numeracy skills within your teaching and supporting learners who are working towards Functional Skills (in partnership with our dedicated Functional Skills tutor).

  • Collaborating with your assigned support coach to manage learner attendance, progress reviews, and administrative tasks such as lesson report uploads
