Our client is a rapidly expanding road freight and logistics company based in Manchester they are now looking for a Customer Service Operator who genuinely cares about people, takes pride in doing things properly, and wants to be part of building the bigger picture
Main Responsibilities
* Being the first point of contact for customers, calm, professional, and solutions-focused
* Handling customer enquiries via phone and email with speed and confidence
* Processing bookings accurately and ensuring service requests are executed smoothly
* Tracking shipments and proactively updating customers, no chasing, no confusion
* Resolving issues and complaints with ownership, empathy, and urgency
* Keeping customer records and internal systems clean, accurate, and up to date
* Working closely with operations, logistics, and sales to deliver on customer promises
* Spotting inefficiencies and suggesting smarter ways of doing things
* Supporting the business with general admin, data entry, and documentation
* Ensuring all work aligns with company standards and UK logistics regulations
What We're Looking For
* Experience in customer service, from a logistics, freight, express road, parcels background
* Strong communication skills. you're clear, professional, and confident
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Comfortable using spreadsheets, Excel, and internal systems
* Able to multitask and stay composed under pressure
* A positive, team-first attitude. no egos, no excuses
* A mindset that takes ownership, not shortcuts
* Logistics or supply chain knowledge is a strong advantage
