Transport Customer Service Supervisor

Trafford Park

£30,000 - £38,000 (depending on experience)

Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm (flexible start/finish times available)

A leading transport and haulage company based in Trafford Park is seeking a Customer Service Supervisor to join their growing team. This role offers a salary of £30,000 - £38,000 (depending on experience) and flexible working hours within a Monday to Friday schedule.

With a strong reputation for providing reliable and efficient haulage services across the UK, the business continues to expand and is now looking for a dedicated professional to take ownership of its customer service function.

The Candidate;

  • Proven customer service experience within a transport or haulage company (essential).
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to lead and motivate a small team.
  • A proactive and organised approach to work.
  • Knowledge of transport systems and processes.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Competent decision making
  • Computer literate
  • Have a flexible and adaptable approach
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills

Duties and Responsibilities;

  • Leading and supporting a small customer service team.
  • Managing customer accounts, building strong and lasting relationships.
  • Handling escalated queries and ensuring swift resolution.
  • Coordinating with the transport planning and operations teams.
  • Monitoring service levels and implementing improvements where needed.
  • Supporting with reporting, KPIs, and process development.
  • Monitor the customer and transport inbox
  • Complete customer specific reports with previous days deliveries
  • Deal with any customer issues that arise during the day
