Looking for a secure permanent Document Controller role with excellent benefits and exposure to major construction projects?

Randstad is seeking a diligent and organised Document Controller on behalf of a leading national construction contractor. With an impressive portfolio covering Commercial, Education & Residential sectors and a strong pipeline of Department for Education (DfE) projects secured in the North West, this is an exciting time to join their busy Manchester team. This is a key hire to support their upcoming project demands.

About the Role:

This is a hands-on Document Controller position where you will be instrumental in managing all project documentation from start to finish. You will ensure that information is correctly set up, maintained, and accessible, playing a critical support role for project teams delivering high-quality school buildings up to 40m in value.

Your day-to-day will involve:

  • Project setup and administration within Document Management Systems, including Viewpoint for Projects.
  • Developing and implementing effective file naming conventions and system workflows.
  • Managing user access and onboarding for external project partners.
  • Facilitating smooth document transfers between various industry-standard platforms (Viewpoint, Aconex, Asite, Business Collaborator, CEMAR, etc.).
  • Acting as the go-to person for system queries and providing professional support.
  • Conducting quality checks, assisting with audits, and generating essential reports.

We're Looking for Someone With:

  • Experience using Document Management Systems is essential.
  • High proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong digital literacy and IT capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Nice to Have (Training Available):

  • Previous experience in the construction industry.
  • Familiarity with Viewpoint for Projects (full system training will be provided).
