Job Overview:

We are currently seeking enthusiastic and motivated Secondary ECTs to join our vibrant network of secondary schools across Manchester. This role offers immediate ad-hoc opportunities across a range of subjects for KS3 and KS4, with positions for September also becoming available. Whether you're newly qualified or looking for your first long-term post, we’d love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons across KS3 and KS4 within your subject specialism

  • Plan, mark, and assess in line with school policies and curriculum expectations

  • Create an inclusive and positive classroom environment through effective behaviour management

  • Work collaboratively with other teachers, support staff, and pastoral teams to support student achievement

  • Contribute to the wider school community and extra-curricular activities where possible

  • Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians regarding progress and any areas of concern

  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet the varied needs of learners, including those with SEND

Requirements:

  • PGCE with QTS or pending QTS status in your subject area

  • Placement or teaching experience within a secondary school environment

  • Strong understanding of classroom and behaviour management strategies

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • Passion for inspiring and engaging secondary-aged students

  • Commitment to personal development and reflective practice
