A primary school with an SEN Provision in Manchester, M11 is currently seeking a few additional support staff for school. These roles are to start on ASAP. The school is keen to secure additional Level 2 qualified support staff to work on a full-time basis (Monday-Friday, 8.30am-3.30pm). The Level 2 qualification does not need to be school specific i.e. teaching and learning/ teaching assistant. The school are quite open to the Level 2 qualification therefore if you are interested in finding out more about the role - please get in touch!As an ASC Support Worker, you will be required to:* Support pupils throughout the school day* Support pupils across the specialist provision* Incorporate the use of senses into learning.* Help pupils to support their speech, language, and communication.* Consider the choices, needs, and wishes of each pupil, and encourage them to make the right choices for learning.This Provision caters for pupils who have individual needs based on MLD, SLCN, ASC and associated challenging behaviours.As these can be challenging environments, to be successful you would ideally have experience in this sector and have worked with challenging individuals however this doesn't necessarily have to be in a school setting and can be from care, support work, residential, youth work etc!
