Reeson Education is recruiting a confident and capable Teaching Assistant to support a lovely Year 6 class in a warm and welcoming primary school in the M19 area of Manchester. This Teaching Assistant role is to begin as soon as possible and is full-time, long-term with the potential to become permanent.

This is a fantastic opportunity to support a hardworking and lively Year 6 class during their all-important final year in primary school. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in helping all pupils thrive-especially those with additional needs who may require extra support during lessons.

Key Responsibilities for the Teaching Assistant:* Work as a Teaching Assistant within the Year 6 classroom, supporting the class teacher and pupils.* Provide additional support to pupils with mild to moderate SEND (e.g. ADHD, speech and language needs, learning gaps).* Deliver tailored support and clarification during lessons to ensure all children can access and engage with the curriculum.* Assist with small group work, interventions, and behaviour regulation strategies as needed.* Be a proactive, calm, and encouraging Teaching Assistant presence throughout the day.

The Ideal Teaching Assistant Will:* Be a reliable, adaptable, and compassionate Teaching Assistant.* Have experience supporting children in upper Key Stage 2.* Be confident in supporting pupils with additional needs, even without 1:1 responsibility.* Be a team player who can work collaboratively and flexibly.* Show initiative and a genuine interest in helping children succeed.

Teaching Assistant Requirements:* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply).* Right to work in the UK.* References covering the last 2-3 years.* A strong desire to make a positive impact as a Teaching Assistant.
