Reeson Education is recruiting a dedicated and nurturing Teaching Assistant to support a Year 2 pupil on a 1:1 basis at a welcoming primary school in the M9 area of Manchester. This Teaching Assistant role is full-time, long-term, and starts as soon as possible.

The pupil you'll be supporting has a diagnosis of ASD and presents with speech, language, and communication needs. The school is looking for a Teaching Assistant who can provide calm, consistent support while building a strong, trusting relationship. The right Teaching Assistant will be patient, intuitive, and confident using visual aids and simple language strategies.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Teaching Assistant looking to make a meaningful difference in a supportive and inclusive school environment. The school has a strong SEND team and offers excellent resources and CPD for the right Teaching Assistant.

Key Responsibilities for the Teaching Assistant:* Work 1:1 with a Year 2 pupil with ASD and communication needs* Support the pupil's academic, social, and emotional development* Use visuals, simple instructions, and structured routines* Adapt tasks to meet the pupil's individual learning profile* Work alongside the class teacher and SENDCO

The Ideal Teaching Assistant Will:* Be a calm, nurturing, and proactive Teaching Assistant* Have experience supporting pupils with ASD or speech and language needs* Be confident using visual schedules, PECs, or similar strategies* Be reliable, consistent, and emotionally aware* Be fully committed to the role and ready to make a difference

Teaching Assistant Requirements:* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)* Right to work in the UK* Relevant references covering the last 2-3 years* A passion for supporting pupils with additional needs
