A friendly and supportive primary school in the Burnage area of Manchester is looking to appoint a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join its welcoming team from September 2025 until the end of the academic year.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Early Years teaching staff to create a stimulating, safe, and nurturing learning environment for the school's youngest pupils. This role will involve supporting the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, assisting with classroom activities, and providing one-to-one or small group support to help children develop their communication, social, and early learning skills.

Key Expectations of the Role:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Assist in creating an inclusive, caring, and positive atmosphere where all children feel valued.
  • Help monitor and record pupils' progress, providing feedback to the teacher.
  • Support with the development of pupils' early literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
  • Encourage children's independence, confidence, and curiosity through play-based learning.
  • Work effectively as part of a team, communicating positively with colleagues, parents, and carers.

  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
