Job Description:
A unique opportunity has arisen for a Business Advisor with specialist knowledge of the digital, creative, and technology sectors. Working directly with high-growth businesses across Greater Manchester, you’ll provide expert guidance on workforce development, helping employers shape talent strategies, improve staff retention, and access training solutions tailored to the fast-evolving needs of the tech economy. This role offers the chance to make a genuine impact on some of the region’s most innovative companies.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to businesses in digital, creative, and tech industries.
  • Promote workforce development services and ensure referrals to appropriate programmes and partners.
  • Work with sector leads to implement regional development plans and support industry priorities.
  • Help businesses develop inclusive recruitment practices and retain local talent.
  • Engage with education and training providers to broker impactful upskilling solutions.
  • Assess organisational capability, skills gaps, and workforce challenges through diagnostics.
  • Maintain accurate client records and contribute to service performance reporting.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Strong background in workforce planning, organisational development, or coaching.
  • In-depth knowledge of the digital, creative, and tech business landscape.
  • Experience engaging SMEs and scaling businesses with tailored workforce solutions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiar with the skills and training ecosystem within Greater Manchester.
  • Degree/CIPD qualification or equivalent practical experience in a relevant role.
  • Competent in CRM systems and comfortable managing a portfolio of business clients.
  • Proactive, commercially aware, and passionate about supporting sector growth.
