Collections Advisor (Motor)

Location: Manchester
Salary: From 25,000 (Negotiable based on experience)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 7pm (8am - 12pm - 1 in 3 Saturdays)

Start date: 30th June

Training: 3 weeks onsite (9am - 5pm) before moving to hybrid working

Job Summary:
Join our team and play a key role in minimizing company losses by managing customer arrears. You will work closely with customers to negotiate fair repayment plans, ensuring the preservation of both customer relationships and the company's reputation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Negotiations: Work with customers to develop suitable payment plans based on their financial circumstances.
  • Assess Financial Situations: Complete Income & Expenditure assessments with customers to determine affordability and agree on fair resolutions.
  • Compliance & Standards: Uphold industry regulations and standards during all customer interactions to ensure positive outcomes.
  • Vulnerable Customer Care: Identify vulnerable customers and apply appropriate forbearance measures.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer service.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of arrears management and financial assessments.
  • Ability to handle vulnerable customers with empathy and care.
  • Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements.
