Electrical Design Engineer

Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to join a cleanroom design specialist, in a contract role outside IR35. As the successful candidate you will be required to work on a flexible hybrid basis (ideally 1 day a week) from our client’s Manchester office, but for the right person greater flexibility is available. You will be working on two new build pharmaceutical projects with an experienced and motivated team, delivering from stage 2 to 4.

-Competitive hourly rate ranging from £40-£45 (depending on experience).

Key Responsibilities:

Designing electrical systems to meet project needs and standards.

-Create technical drawings, specifications, and calculations for systems.

-Work alongside other engineers to integrate systems with building designs.

-Communicate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to meet deadlines.

-Ensure compliance with regulations and sustainability standards.

-Help prepare project cost estimates, schedules, and resources.

What we are looking for:

Essential:

-A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

-Experience in electrical design.

-Strong knowledge of electrical systems (lighting, power, distribution).

-Extensive experience with design software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).

-Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

-Familiarity with relevant building regulations, standards, and sustainability practices.

Desirable:

-Chartered or working towards Chartership (IET or similar) preferred.
