Principal Electrical Engineer - Manchester/Leeds

Are you an ambitious and well-rounded Electrical Engineer with a talent for building great client relationships? If you have a strong background in building services design, excellent site knowledge, and a genuine passion for working with existing buildings, this could be the perfect opportunity to drive your career forward. This role is for someone who can confidently lead projects and articulate technical concepts clearly, with a good appreciation for the wider mechanical discipline.

Role and Responsibilities

Join one of the longest established building services consultancies in the UK, a forward-thinking firm that is now at the forefront of using real data to inform design and deliver decarbonisation strategies for major clients. As part of the newly formed 'Operational Assets' team, you will be helping to maximise the value and operational efficiency of buildings, designing for people, not just assumptions.

As a Principal Electrical Engineer in a hybrid role based in either Manchester or Leeds, you will have a fantastic opportunity to take ownership and make a real impact. Your key responsibilities will involve running your own projects from start to finish, acting as the main point of contact for a diverse portfolio of clients, and driving projects forward. Day-to-day activities will include a blend of design work for reconfigurations and refurbishments, conducting site surveys and investigations, and contributing to long-term strategic decarbonisation frameworks.

Salary range

A negotiable salary is on offer, reflective of your experience. In addition, a car allowance of circa 拢5,000 is provided at the Principal level.

Benefit package

Alongside the competitive salary and car allowance, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including private healthcare, 9 day fortnight, enhanced company pension scheme and generous holiday allowance.

Company culture

You will be joining a close-knit, collaborative, and diverse team of ten professionals. The culture is supportive and ambitious, where cultural fit is valued as highly as technical skill. It's a dynamic environment where high-performers are recognised and promoted based on merit, not just time served.
