Principal Electrical Engineer - Power
Location- Midlands, Gloucester or the North West.
Salary- 45,000 - 62,000 DoE
Security-Due to the nature of this work, only sole UK nationals eligible for Security Clearance can be considered.
Copello are working with a leading Defence organisation to recruit Electrical Engineers across multiple levels, supporting critical Power programmes.
Role Responsibilities
- Design and develop solutions to complex engineering challenges
- Apply fundamental design processes, tools, and systems throughout the engineering lifecycle
- Contribute to multi-functional project teams to deliver on time and to budget
- Support project planning and manage your own workload with guidance where required
- Take an active role in both routine and high-complexity tasks
- Continuously seek improvements in processes, systems, and ways of working
Skills & Experience
- BEng (Hons) / MEng (or equivalent) with CEng (or working towards)
- Experience across the engineering lifecycle
- Knowledge of one or more of: power system modelling, generators, switchgear, protection, power electronics
- Strong understanding of Power System Architecture, Generation & Distribution, Protection & Coordination, or Power Earth Fault Monitoring
- Proven experience working to industry codes and standards
