We are looking for a quality control technical assistant

This part-time position is based in the M28 Worsley area with a well-established and forward-thinking manufacturer producing a diverse range of ethical, organic food, drink, and beauty products. All items are crafted in a facility certified by the British Retail Consortium and the Soil Association, reflecting high standards of quality and sustainability.

This role would suit a meticulous and dependable individual with prior administrative experience, ideally in a food manufacturing environment. It's well-suited to someone looking for steady, part-time weekday hours and who thrives in a structured, process-driven workplace. Strong attention to detail, computer literacy, and the ability to follow technical procedures are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Technical Manager with the day-to-day running of the Quality and HACCP systems.
  • Carry out quality checks including temperature, weight, metal detection, and packaging inspections.
  • Maintain documentation and audit records, ensuring compliance with BRC, Organic, and Fair Trade standards.
  • Assist with product sampling, shelf-life analysis, labelling, and traceability.
  • Participate in internal audits and support new product development projects.
