We are partnering with a leading biological services facility to recruit a Technical Supervisor to lead their cage wash and hygiene operations across multiple sites. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on technical professional with leadership experience to make a tangible impact on research support and animal care.

The Role:

  • Lead, train, and supervise a team of hygiene technicians.
  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of advanced equipment, including robotic cage washers, automated bedding systems, autoclaves, and VHP units.
  • Ensure hygiene routines are completed to the highest standards and maintain stock and equipment.
  • Deputise for the Technical Operations Officer and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, biosecurity, and ethical standards.

You Will Bring:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Specialist knowledge of animal facility equipment and hygiene processes.
  • Understanding of animal care, biosecurity, and infection control.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with routine maintenance, SOPs, and risk assessments.
