The Recruitment Co are looking for experienced Food Production Operatives in Whitefield, Bury.These roles are temporary to permanent so candidates will get a permanent position subject to passing their temporary probation period.We are looking for candidates who have strong manufacturing experience preferably within the food production sector.Working in the process department, the shifts would be rotating days and nights 6am-6pm/6pm-6am, 7am-7pm/7pm-7am & 8am-8pm/8pm-8am working Monday - Thursday.Candidates must be able to work day and night shifts on a weekly rotational basis.The hourly rate is £13.36 per hourThis is what you'll actually do:

  • Work together with the other members of the team, to ensure the performance of your area meets the production plan.
  • Monitor quality at your designated area.
  • Ensure performance is maintained in your area by adherence to plant set up, technical specifications and quality assurance processes.
  • Support the skilled operators and FLMs to achieve the efficient set up of plant at start of production and at product changeovers.
  • Ensure clean as you go is in operation and good hygiene and housekeeping practices are being carried out.
  • Ensure you adhere to the food safety policies and procedures during handling, preparation and storage of ingredients, allergens and finished goods.
  • Ensure that good Health and Safety practices and behaviours are adopted at all times.
  • Participate in company initiatives on training and development of both yourself and othersIdeally this is you:
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and work at the required standard.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Confidence to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels
  • A positive and proactive approach with the drive to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
