A leading UK Manufacturer is seeking a Commercial Finance Analyst to join their dynamic finance team based in Salford. This permanent position offers the chance to make a real impact by supporting branches across a wide range of operational areas, including payroll, delivery, and property costs (hybrid 3 days in the office, 2 days at home)

As a Commercial Finance Analyst, you will be immersed in a varied role that spans financial compliance, operational analysis, stakeholder engagement, and process improvement. Your day-to-day activities will involve delivering precise cost reports that inform strategic decisions while developing new tools for monitoring productivity across collect and delivery operations.

Key duties include:-

  • Ensure full compliance with company policies related to financial planning, health and safety regulations, and governance controls to maintain high standards across all operations.
  • Deliver accurate and timely cost reporting in accordance with established accounting standards to support effective decision-making.
  • Develop analytical tools that monitor productivity and performance throughout collect and delivery operations, enabling data-driven improvements.
  • Collaborate closely with procurement teams to drive best value from Goods Not for Resale (GNFR) purchases, optimising expenditure across multiple categories.
  • Track Save to Invest initiatives meticulously to ensure auditable standards are met and financial objectives are achieved.
  • Support capital expenditure reviews by building robust business cases that demonstrate clear returns on investment for proposed projects.
  • Contribute actively to the development of the finance team while championing diversity and inclusion initiatives throughout the organisation.
  • Identify and address cost-related issues affecting branch operations quickly by working collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to improve understanding of cost drivers and enhance financial reporting accuracy.
