Our client is building a market leader through a dynamic buy-and-build strategy and is now seeking a talented M&A - Corporate Development Director to join their ambitious team.

About the Role

This is a rare opportunity to join a newly formed, high-impact team driving internal M&A and corporate development initiatives. Reporting directly to the CFO and working closely with private equity sponsors, you will play a central role in identifying, evaluating, and executing strategic acquisitions across multiple industry verticals.

You'll be joining at a pivotal moment, with the chance to shape the future of a fast-scaling platform and influence investment decisions at the highest level.

Initially the role will be a remote based position with a view to set up a main office in either the Midlands or Northern Regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end M&A process, from origination through to execution and integration.
  • Conduct rigorous financial and commercial due diligence, coordinating with external advisors.
  • Prepare investment appraisals and present recommendations to the investment committee.
  • Negotiate deal terms and manage transaction documentation.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and identify strategic acquisition targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with advisors, stakeholders, and target companies.

About You

We're looking for a commercially astute and highly motivated dealmaker with:

  • ACA / ACCA qualification and a strong track record in M&A or Transaction Services, ideally from a Big 4 or boutique advisory background.
  • Experience in corporate development or private equity-backed environments.
  • A confident communicator with the gravitas to engage with C-suite stakeholders and SME/OMB owners.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple transactions in the lower/mid-market space.
  • A self-starter mindset with excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
