What you’ll be doing:
You’ll work side-by-side with the Headteacher to oversee the school’s finance and operational functions—covering finance, HR, IT, estates, health and safety, and compliance. It’s a wide-ranging, strategic role that offers real influence.

Your responsibilities will include:

Managing the school’s budget, forecasting, and financial reporting

Supporting department leads with budget planning and financial advice

Leading audits, year-end accounts, and policy reviews

Overseeing HR processes and providing guidance on employment issues

Managing site operations—including a PFI contract and capital works
-
Leading IT strategy and overseeing systems and contracts

Ensuring compliance with GDPR, FOIs, SARs and acting as DPO

Handling health and safety, emergency plans, and insurance
We’re looking for someone who:

Holds a UK-recognised Level 4 finance qualification (e.g. AAT) or has equivalent experience

Has a strong track record in finance and operations leadership

Communicates clearly and confidently with stakeholders at all levels

Can balance strategic thinking with a practical, hands-on approach
-
Has working knowledge of employment law, safer recruitment, data protection, and H&S
-
Brings a student-focused, values-led approach to leadership

Supports the Catholic ethos of the school
A good standard of spoken English is essential for this role. An enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references are required.
