Castlefield Recruitment are currently seeking a proactive and commercially astute Finance Business Partner to join the Management Accounts team of a public sector organisation in Manchester. This pivotal role involves working closely with key stakeholders across the organisation to provide strategic financial insight, support budgetary planning, and drive performance improvements.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and analysing monthly management accounts, forecasting, and financial modelling. They will partner with operational teams to ensure financial plans align with business objectives, support decision-making, and contribute to achieving financial targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with budget holders and senior leaders.

  • Provide insightful variance analysis, commentary, and financial guidance

  • Support the budgeting and forecasting processes across multiple departments

  • Assist in the preparation and review of monthly management accounts

  • Identify opportunities for cost efficiency and financial improvement

  • Ensure compliance with group policies and financial regulations

Requirements:

  • Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent)

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
