About the role

Your role will be Commercial Finance Manager reporting to the Finance Director and business partnering across all areas of the business. By providing strategic financial guidance planning and insights to drive scale and improve business performance you will become a trusted senior figurehead within the business. Your inputs insights and recommendations will be truly respected actioned and implemented. The FD this role reports to is amongst the region's brightest rising stars, and will be a great mentor to work with.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implementation and development of useful reporting for stakeholders across the business, including sales and margin reporting.
  • Business partnering with areas such as marketing, operations, production and merchandising to help the business understand performance and support decision making.
  • Commercial analysis centred around product, scenario, margin, territories etc.
  • Performance analysis, comparing actuals with forecasts. Commentary of underlying variances and identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Preparation of monthly financial reporting pack and other ad hoc analysis required for Board/SLT discussions.
  • Working closely with the Head of Finance to understand financial performance, stock, cash flows.
  • Ownership of budgets and re forecasts .
  • Taking the lead on analysing and reporting on financial and non-financial metrics and KPIs.
  • Business case and scenario modelling.
  • Assisting in implementation of new systems and processes.
  • Playing a key role in strategic projects.
  • Producing management reporting, analysis and other ad hoc work as required.

Profile

  • A passionate finance professional with a proven track record of success.
  • ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified.
  • A desire to thrive and progress within a fast growth environment.
  • Analytical and hands on by nature, happy rolling your sleeves up and building models/analysis from scratch to support and drive business decision making.
  • Proactive and collaborative approach, a strategic thinker with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to be able to liaise with and influence stakeholders.
  • Highly organised, structured and analytical. Delivers results in line with deadlines.
  • Adaptable and has the ability to work well with change.
  • Enjoys working cross functionally and has the ability to engage others to achieve results.
  • Ecommerce/retail experience desirable.
