Michael Page are working with a well established and growing business within the manufacturing sector in their search for a new Finance Manager. You will be joining the business at an exciting time, with opportunities for future development.

Description

Duties include:

  • Preparing financial statements and management reports.
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, and short term cash flow forecast statements.
  • Liaise with external auditors during financial audits ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Oversee transactional finance including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
  • Management and mentoring of the Accounts Assistant in daily tasks and financial record-keeping.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date general ledger entries and financial data.
  • Analysing trends to provide strategic recommendations to management.
  • Statutory tax returns, including VAT and Tax, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Liaising with vendors, customers, and banks as required.
  • Assisting with cost analysis, pricing strategies, and financial planning to support business decisions.

Profile

The candidate will have/be:

  • Previous experience within a relevant Accounting role - Required
  • ACCA/CIMA part qualified - Desirable
  • Previous experience within the manufacturing sector - Desirable
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations - Required
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Excel - Required
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal - Required
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and organisational skills - Required
