Description
Duties include:
- Preparing financial statements and management reports.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and short term cash flow forecast statements.
- Liaise with external auditors during financial audits ensuring accurate documentation.
- Oversee transactional finance including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
- Management and mentoring of the Accounts Assistant in daily tasks and financial record-keeping.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date general ledger entries and financial data.
- Analysing trends to provide strategic recommendations to management.
- Statutory tax returns, including VAT and Tax, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
- Liaising with vendors, customers, and banks as required.
- Assisting with cost analysis, pricing strategies, and financial planning to support business decisions.
Profile
The candidate will have/be:
- Previous experience within a relevant Accounting role - Required
- ACCA/CIMA part qualified - Desirable
- Previous experience within the manufacturing sector - Desirable
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations - Required
- Strong working knowledge of MS Excel - Required
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal - Required
- Strong analytical, problem solving and organisational skills - Required
