MERJE are delighted to be partnered with a highly ambitious PE backed Financial Services organisation in their search for their first Head of Finance

In this role you will build a Finance Function from the ground up, sourcing the appropriate software to support a scalable business and growing a financially astute team that adds real value to the organisation.

You will play an integral role in strategic decision making forming part of the Senior Leadership team.

Our Ideal candidate will have the following experience:

  • Hands-on experience with implementing and managing accounting and financial forecasting software
  • Expertise in cash flow management, budgeting, and multi-year financial forecasting.
  • Experience managing end-to-end payroll, pension contributions, and HMRC reporting.
  • Commercial acumen with a track record of supporting business growth, analysing profitability, and advising on strategic financial decisions.
  • Ability to produce accurate monthly management accounts and board reports
  • Experience working alongside founders and senior leadership teams to shape business strategy and financial planning.
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment where flexibility and initiative are essential.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Will have managed an external Audit relationship
  • Ideally experience in a Financial Services Regulated environment (and / or) Private Equity invested business.
