The Local Authority in the North West is seeking an Interim Head of Financial Planning & Treasury for a 6-month contract.
The position offers a salary range of £700 to £750 per day.
Candidates should have extensive experience in Local Government financial planning.
Key responsibilities include developing the Medium-Term Financial Strategy and providing financial advice to senior management.
The role also involves leading a small team and monitoring the financial implications of government policies and economic trends.

Castlefield Rercruitment are currently partnering with a Local Authority in the North West who are looking for a Financial Planning specailist to join their team on an interim basis. This is an excellent oppertunity for someone well-vesrsed in Local Government financial planning to join a team during an exciting period of transoformation.

Duties include:

Lead the development and maintenance of the Medium-Term Financial Strategy (MTFS), aligning with corporate objectives and service plans.
Provide high-quality financial advice to senior management, elected members, and stakeholders to inform policy decisions.
Monitor and assess the financial implications of government policy, funding changes, and economic trends.
Lead on the production of the Treasury Management Strategy, Annual Investment Strategy, and related reports.
Lead and develop a small team of finance professionals, promoting continuous improvement and professional development.
