About the Role:

We're looking for someone to join our client who is an internationally renowned multi-disciplinary consultancy who are looking to expand their natural resources team in the North West.

We are looking for someone to join as a Senior Cost Manager with infrastructure, nuclear or oil and gas experience.

Key Responsibilities for the Senior Cost Manager:

  • Assessing financial viability of projects during initial phases
  • Developing, overseeing and maintaining project budgets, cost plans and financial reports
  • Delivering precise and timely financial guidance to project teams and clients.
  • Mentoring and guiding junior quantity surveyors and colleagues to foster professional growth.
  • Cultivating strong collaborative relationships with clients and key stakeholders.

Role Requirements for the Senior Cost Manager:

  • Industry experience in Infrastructure, Nuclear, or Oil & Gas sectors.
  • NEC contract experience is advantageous but not essential.
  • Willingness to travel to Derby 3 days per week for the first 6 weeks, then once per month thereafter.
  • Chartered status (e.g., RICS, APM) - already obtained.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
