Job Title: Air Freight Export Operator
Location: South Manchester
Salary: up to £32,000 DOE
Reed are currently working in partnership with a growing international freight forwarding business based in South Manchester, dedicated to providing exceptional logistics solutions to their clients.
Position Overview: Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Air Freight Export Operator to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in air freight operations, excellent organisational skills, and a keen eye for detail. This role is crucial in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of export shipments, maintaining compliance with international regulations, and providing outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage air freight export shipments from start to finish
- Prepare and process all necessary documentation, including airway bills, export declarations, and customs paperwork
- Liaise with airlines, customs authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth shipment handling
- Monitor and track shipments, providing regular updates to clients and resolving any issues that arise
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally
- Collaborate with other team members to optimise operational efficiency and achieve company goals
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in air freight export operations within a freight forwarding environment
- Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations and documentation requirements
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in relevant software and systems used in freight forwarding
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
