Category Manager - 3rd Party Spend
Location: Manchester
Salary: £55,000 - £66,000 + Benefits

Are you a commercially savvy procurement professional ready to drive change across complex sourcing environments? We're looking for a talented Category Manager to join a leading organisation where third-party spend is being re imagined through innovation, strategy and strong business alignment



Key Responsibilities

  • Profile category spend and identify opportunities for optimisation.

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to scope requirements and lead sourcing events.

  • Deliver effective RFX processes, supplier negotiations, and contracting.

  • Ensure all sourcing activities meet compliance, audit, and regulatory requirements.

  • Support ongoing improvement of sourcing policies, procedures, and buying channels.

  • Stay ahead of market trends, tools and best practices within category management.

  • Influence internal decision-making and risk mitigation strategies.



What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in Procurement, Sourcing or Category Management.

  • Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • A confident negotiator with a good grasp of procurement controls and governance.

  • Knowledge of vendor management systems or experience in regulated industries is a plus.

  • CIPS certification or working towards it would be an advantage.
